Best Hogwarts Legacy houses

108 ELO points separate Slytherin from Hufflepuff in the Hogwarts Legacy house ranking, after 1772 duels, with Ravenclaw leading at 1268 points.

Ravenclaw claims the top spot with 1268 ELO points, edging out Slytherin by just 13 points at 1255. The competition tightens at the summit, but the most striking gap emerges between ranks 2 and 3: Slytherin towers 108 points above Hufflepuff, the sharpest divide in this four-house contest. Despite finishing second, Slytherin boasts a 61% win rate across 59 duels, the highest approval among all houses. Ravenclaw's 57% win rate over 72 duels shows steady support, while Hufflepuff manages 45% across 65 duels. At the bottom, Gryffindor trails at 1131 points with a 38% win rate over 66 duels, suggesting players favor wit and ambition over traditional heroism when starting their magical journey. The house associated with Harry Potter himself struggles to capture the community's imagination in this context.

This ranking draws on 1772 duels cast by 377 players across all four Hogwarts houses. The figures reflect community preferences as of 10 October 2026. Head to the Hogwarts Legacy TopList to cast your own vote and shape the next update of this ranking.

How this ranking is computed

Every duel won lifts a contender and every loss drops them, by an amount that depends on the opponent's strength: beating the leader is worth more than beating the last. It is an ELO, the same principle as in chess. Duels are not drawn at random — an adaptive entropy sort puts the least predictable match-ups first, which settles the ranking far faster than a full round robin. A worldwide ranking is only published past 30 completed plays. Known limit: a contender who has faced few opponents keeps an approximate score, and the bottom of the table moves more than the podium.
