Best Overwatch tanks

91 ELO points separate Reinhardt from Roadhog at the top of the Overwatch tank ranking, after 1507 duels.

Reinhardt dominates with 1379 ELO and a 68% win rate across 99 duels, leaving Roadhog 91 points behind despite the latter's 129 duels. D.Va claims third place with 1261 ELO and a solid 61% win rate. The gap between first and second is the widest in the ranking, suggesting Reinhardt commands exceptional loyalty among players choosing their favorite tank. Below the podium, Orisa and Sigma cluster close together at 1189 and 1173 ELO respectively, while the bottom tier tells a different story. Wrecking Ball sits last with 1080 ELO and only 35% of duels won, indicating the hero struggles to find favor in this community vote. Zarya fares little better at 1096 ELO with a 39% win rate, revealing a clear divide between beloved anchors and less popular options.

This ranking draws from 1507 duels contributed by 96 players across 8 contenders, updated on 11 October 2026. How this ranking is computed

Every duel won lifts a contender and every loss drops them, by an amount that depends on the opponent's strength: beating the leader is worth more than beating the last. It is an ELO, the same principle as in chess. Duels are not drawn at random — an adaptive entropy sort puts the least predictable match-ups first, which settles the ranking far faster than a full round robin. A worldwide ranking is only published past 30 completed plays. Known limit: a contender who has faced few opponents keeps an approximate score, and the bottom of the table moves more than the podium.
