Best legendary Pokémon scarlet violet

Koraidon wins 68% of its duels and tops the Pokémon ranking ahead of Chi-Yu.

Koraidon and Chi-Yu share the same 1375 ELO score at the summit, but Koraidon's superior win rate secures first place. The sharpest divide in the ranking opens between Chi-Yu and Miraidon: 42 ELO points separate them, a gap that underscores distinct community preferences within the legendary roster. Further down, Terapagos holds fifth place with 1303 points, while the bottom of the ranking reveals a struggle for the Future Paradox forms. Iron Crown and Iron Boulder occupy the last three spots, with Iron Boulder at rank 27 scoring just 1059 ELO and winning only 37% of its duels. The data suggests that ancient designs resonate more strongly than their mechanical counterparts, at least in this particular contest.

How this ranking is computed

Every duel won lifts a contender and every loss drops them, by an amount that depends on the opponent's strength: beating the leader is worth more than beating the last. It is an ELO, the same principle as in chess. Duels are not drawn at random — an adaptive entropy sort puts the least predictable match-ups first, which settles the ranking far faster than a full round robin. A worldwide ranking is only published past 30 completed plays. Known limit: a contender who has faced few opponents keeps an approximate score, and the bottom of the table moves more than the podium.
