Best Legendary Pokémon

Primal Kyogre leads the Legendary Pokémon ranking with 1423 ELO points over 1527 duels, ahead of Lunala and Mega Rayquaza.

A 30 ELO point gap separates Primal Kyogre from Lunala at the top, marking the sharpest divide in the upper reaches of the ranking. Mega Rayquaza holds third with 1378 points and a commanding 64% win rate across 1277 duels, demonstrating consistent dominance when it appears in matchups. Giratina – Altered Forme claims fourth at 1365 ELO with a 54% win rate over 1446 duels, while Yveltal rounds out the top 5 at 1358 points with 61% of its 1494 duels won. The podium reflects the community's preference for primordial power and celestial designs, favoring transformation forms and generation-defining mascots over traditional legendary archetypes. At the bottom, Calyrex sits at rank 88 with 999 ELO points and a 33% win rate, suggesting voters favor battle-ready forms over the base version of this Crown Tundra monarch. Glastrier occupies rank 87 with 1011 points, while Type: Null holds rank 86 at 1027 ELO, both struggling to win over the fanbase despite their narrative roles.

How this ranking is computed

Every duel won lifts a contender and every loss drops them, by an amount that depends on the opponent's strength: beating the leader is worth more than beating the last. It is an ELO, the same principle as in chess. Duels are not drawn at random — an adaptive entropy sort puts the least predictable match-ups first, which settles the ranking far faster than a full round robin. A worldwide ranking is only published past 30 completed plays. Known limit: a contender who has faced few opponents keeps an approximate score, and the bottom of the table moves more than the podium.
