Best Mythical Pokémon

Darkrai wins 65% of its duels and tops the Pokémon ranking ahead of Marshadow, with 1375 ELO points after 418 duels.

The podium reflects the Pokémon community's love for shadowy and combat-ready Mythicals. Marshadow sits at 1360 ELO over 482 duels, while Zeraora claims third place at 1354 ELO. The sharpest divide appears between rank 3 and rank 4, where 46 ELO points separate Zeraora from Arceus, despite Arceus holding a 62% win rate over 497 duels. This gap reveals a split between design appeal and competitive prowess, with Zeraora's Electric typing and sleek appearance edging out the creator deity. At the bottom, Phione languishes at 1038 ELO with a 34% win rate over 335 duels, suggesting the community favors Mythicals with darker aesthetics or competitive strength over the gentler, less battle-focused designs. Manaphy sits just above at 1047 ELO, while Genesect holds rank 20 at 1088 ELO.

How this ranking is computed

Every duel won lifts a contender and every loss drops them, by an amount that depends on the opponent's strength: beating the leader is worth more than beating the last. It is an ELO, the same principle as in chess. Duels are not drawn at random — an adaptive entropy sort puts the least predictable match-ups first, which settles the ranking far faster than a full round robin. A worldwide ranking is only published past 30 completed plays. Known limit: a contender who has faced few opponents keeps an approximate score, and the bottom of the table moves more than the podium.
