Best Pokémon mega evolutions

39 ELO points separate Mega Gengar from Mega Rayquaza at the top of the Pokémon ranking, after 40060 duels.

Mega Gengar commands the podium with 1385 ELO points, while Mega Rayquaza sits at 1346 despite an impressive 68% win rate across 647 duels. Mega Diancie rounds out the top 3 at 1331 points, followed by Mega Mewtwo Y and Mega Banette. The gap between first and second reveals a tight race at the summit, though Mega Gengar's consistency across 706 duels has proven decisive. The bottom of the ranking tells a different story: Mega Mewtwo X languishes at rank 48 with just 1019 ELO points, a striking contrast to its Y counterpart's position in the top 5. Mega Slowbro and Mega Audino occupy the two spots just above, suggesting these transformations fail to resonate with the community's vision of compelling Mega Evolutions.

This ranking draws on 40060 duels submitted by 207 players across 48 contenders, updated on 10 October 2026. The results reflect genuine preferences rather than competitive viability, capturing which Mega Evolutions spark the most enthusiasm among fans. Whether you favor the ghostly menace of Mega Gengar or champion an underdog transformation, your vote shapes this constantly shifting hierarchy. How this ranking is computed

Every duel won lifts a contender and every loss drops them, by an amount that depends on the opponent's strength: beating the leader is worth more than beating the last. It is an ELO, the same principle as in chess. Duels are not drawn at random — an adaptive entropy sort puts the least predictable match-ups first, which settles the ranking far faster than a full round robin. A worldwide ranking is only published past 30 completed plays. Known limit: a contender who has faced few opponents keeps an approximate score, and the bottom of the table moves more than the podium.
