Best Poppy Playtime characters

CatNap leads the Poppy Playtime ranking with 1400 ELO points over 182 duels, ahead of DogDay and Prototype.

CatNap holds the top spot with a 26-point advantage over DogDay, the widest gap at the summit of this 21-contender ranking. Despite DogDay appearing twice in the top 5 at ranks 2 and 5, CatNap's 63% win rate keeps it firmly ahead. Prototype sits just 9 points behind DogDay in third place with 1365 ELO, while Huggy Wuggy claims fourth at 1351. The ranking reflects the community's attachment to the Smiling Critters from Chapter 3, who dominate the upper positions. At the bottom, Baby Long Legs struggles with only 21% of duels won and 872 ELO points, trailing Daddy Long Legs by 165 points and PickyPiggy by 185 points. The gap between the 19th and 21st positions reveals a clear divide in how players connect with different character types.

How this ranking is computed

Every duel won lifts a contender and every loss drops them, by an amount that depends on the opponent's strength: beating the leader is worth more than beating the last. It is an ELO, the same principle as in chess. Duels are not drawn at random — an adaptive entropy sort puts the least predictable match-ups first, which settles the ranking far faster than a full round robin. A worldwide ranking is only published past 30 completed plays. Known limit: a contender who has faced few opponents keeps an approximate score, and the bottom of the table moves more than the podium.
