Best fingers ranking

The Middle Finger leads the Anatomy ranking with 1315 ELO points over 14 duels, ahead of The Thumb and The Index Finger.

A 9-point gap separates The Middle Finger from The Thumb at the top, but the ranking's sharpest divide appears lower down: 179 ELO points sit between The Index Finger in third place and The Pinky in fourth. The Middle Finger wins 71% of its duels, while The Thumb claims 60% and The Index Finger 67%, suggesting that community preference clusters tightly around the top three. The Pinky sits at 1121 ELO with a 41% win rate across 17 duels, placing it well above the bottom spot. At the base of the ranking, The Ring Finger records just 8% wins across 12 duels, landing it at 967 ELO and marking it as the least favored digit in this assessment. The gap between fourth and fifth place stands at 154 points, underlining how sharply opinion drops off past the middle of the hand.

How this ranking is computed

Every duel won lifts a contender and every loss drops them, by an amount that depends on the opponent's strength: beating the leader is worth more than beating the last. It is an ELO, the same principle as in chess. Duels are not drawn at random — an adaptive entropy sort puts the least predictable match-ups first, which settles the ranking far faster than a full round robin. A worldwide ranking is only published past 30 completed plays. Known limit: a contender who has faced few opponents keeps an approximate score, and the bottom of the table moves more than the podium.
