Best Naruto characters

49 ELO points separate Naruto from Itachi at the top of the Naruto ranking, with Kakashi claiming first place at 1335 ELO after 26618 duels.

Kakashi edges out the series protagonist by just 9 ELO points, a margin so narrow it reflects deep community division over these iconic characters. Naruto wins 63% of his duels compared to Kakashi's 60%, yet sits in second place—a testament to how ELO ratings measure consistency across thousands of matchups rather than raw win rates alone. The sharpest divide appears between ranks 2 and 3, where 49 ELO points set Naruto apart from Itachi despite both characters commanding passionate fanbases. Minato holds fourth place at 1257 ELO with a 55% win rate across 2377 duels, while Jiraiya completes the top five at 1227 ELO. At the bottom, the gap widens dramatically: Hagoromo languishes at rank 10 with just 882 ELO and an 18% win rate across 1733 duels, suggesting the Sage of Six Paths commands more respect in the story than in this popularity contest.

This ranking draws from 26618 duels cast by 1178 players, comparing all 10 contenders in head-to-head matchups. The figures reflect votes recorded as of 10 October 2026. The tight race at the top means a few dozen votes could shuffle the podium entirely. Cast your own duels on VAINKEURZ to shape the next update and push your favorite character higher.

How this ranking is computed

Every duel won lifts a contender and every loss drops them, by an amount that depends on the opponent's strength: beating the leader is worth more than beating the last. It is an ELO, the same principle as in chess. Duels are not drawn at random — an adaptive entropy sort puts the least predictable match-ups first, which settles the ranking far faster than a full round robin. A worldwide ranking is only published past 30 completed plays. Known limit: a contender who has faced few opponents keeps an approximate score, and the bottom of the table moves more than the podium.
